Baseball Falls to Illinois in Walk-off Fashion, 2-1

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Indiana State baseball team dropped its second game in as many days to Illinois, falling to the Illini 2-1 on a walk-off home run in the ninth inning at Illinois Field in Champaign.

tied the game in the top of the ninth with a no-doubt home run to right field; his fifth home run of the season. The homer also signified the first base hit for the Sycamores (12-11) since the fourth inning as Illinois starting pitcher Ty Weber held the ISU offense in check, retiring 13-straight up until Giesler's home run.
