AUBURN, Ala. -- No. 3 Alabama, outplayed most of the day, rallied with a touchdown in the final minute of regulation, and then escaped with a dramatic 24-22 overtime win over Auburn Saturday in the Iron Bowl.
Bryce Young's 28-yard scoring pass to Ja'Corey Brooks, and the ensuing extra point, tied the game at 10-10 with 24 seconds left in front of a stunned Tigers crowd. The score capped a 12-play, 97-yards drive that covered just 1:11 on the game clock.
The teams traded scores in overtime sessions until Young's two-point conversion pass to John Metchie III ended it in the back end of the fourth extra session.
