ST. LOUIS – Indiana State sophomore forward Adrian Folks was recognized for her success on and off the court on Tuesday morning as she received Missouri Valley Conference honorable mention honors for the league's Scholar-Athlete Team.
During her sophomore campaign, Folks averaged a team-best 10.1 points as well as 6.2 rebounds per game in addition to shooting an impressive 45.0% from the field while averaging 28.1 minutes per game. In the classroom, the Southgate, Mich., native holds a perfect 4.0 in the Indiana State nursing program.
The criteria for the scholar-athlete team balloting parallels the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) standards for the Academic All-America voting.
