Woj: Alex Poythress Agrees to Deal with Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers offseason signings aren’t over yet, apparently.

According to the Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers have signed former Kentucky small forward Alex Poythress.

It is a partially guaranteed deal according to Woj’s sources, which will likely give the Pacers the ability to cut him before the regular-season due to roster space. That’s the same reason they let Shayne Whittington go earlier this summer.

But Wojnarowski says his league sources expect Poythress to play for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

Poythress, 22, who went undrafted in June, will likely spend the season with the Pacers’ NBA Development League affiliate in Fort Wayne, league sources said.
