In tribute to Indiana Pacers Hall of Famer Mel Daniels, who passed away Friday, the team announced Saturday its plans to honor the three-time American Basketball Association champion.
For tonight’s game with Utah, there will be a brief video tribute followed by a moment of silence prior to tipoff.
For Wednesday’s game with Boston, there will be a celebration of Mel’s life and playing career at halftime.
Thursday afternoon, in conjunction with Mel’s wife, CeCe, and his former teammates, Bankers Life Fieldhouse will hold a public memorial service. Details are still being finalized and will be communicated Monday.
