The Indiana Pacers entered the preseason with 17 guys on NBA contracts and one player on a two-way contract (Edmond Sumner). That first number had to be trimmed to 15 by the start of the regular season. In order to make that happen, the team announced today that they are waiving two players: Omari Johnson and Elijah Stewart.
Both players had completely non-guaranteed contracts, so this move has no impact on the Pacers salary cap situation. The team announced the moves today on Twitter:
