The Indiana Pacers are worth $1.125 billion according to Forbes latest valuation for NBA franchises. The Pacers were sold to Herb Simon in 1983 for $10.5 million, roughly the current cost of Bojan Bogdanovic’s salary this season.
That’s a staggeringly good return on investment for Simon. Forbes values every single one of the NBA’s teams at over $1 billion dollars. The average team is worth a record $1.65 billion.
A season ago the team was valued at $880 million. Over the past three years, the team went from $830 million to its current price.
