The Fort Wayne Mad Ants ended 2015 and began 2016 on a high note, bookending the turn of the calendar with two wins over the Erie BayHawks and Iowa Energy.
The Mad Ants (11-7) used a big second half to defeat Erie 106-80 on Dec. 30 in Pennsylvania for their tenth win of the season. The game was tied at 49 at the halftime break, but Fort Wayne pulled away in the final quarters, helped especially by a 10-2 run to end the third frame and a 32-14 margin in the fourth quarter.
Five Mad Ants scored in double figures, led by Pacers assignee Shayne Whittington's 19 points.
