The better scenario would be to let Thad Young sit awhile longer, let that sprained left wrist heal completely, so he can go back to knocking down jump shots again.
Reality dictates otherwise.
"We don't have time for that right now," he says. "When I did sit out, you saw what happened."
What happened when Young sat out eight games to let the wrist on his shooting arm heal enough to let him play is that the Pacers lost six consecutive games. They won the first two, rather impressively in fact, by 21 points over Detroit and three points over Oklahoma City.
