Yesterday afternoon, three Pacers players, Lavoy Allen, Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Miles, made a post-practice trip to the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center on the campus of IUPUI. While there, they made their way through the treatment facility, talking to every patient they could find.
"[These visits] are very helpful to our patients," Dr. Nasser Hanna said. "They go through a lot of struggles, so something like this is very uplifting for them and our staff as well."
The trio of Pacers met with almost a dozen patients overall, each time trying to put a smile on their face as they went through the day's treatment.
