It is all but official: The Indiana Pacers are going to sign Ty Lawson.
Charania is reporting that the free agent will sign with the Pacers and is expected to report on Sunday.
The Pacers will buyout Chase Budinger’s contract after the Charlotte Hornets game on Friday to free up a roster spot for the 28-year old point guard. He is expect to play back-up to George Hill.
Lawson only averaged 5.8 points and 3.4 assists with the Houston Rockets, but the Pacers must be hoping he plays more like the player that averaged 15.
