Sarunas Jasikevicius’ time in Indiana as a player was short. He played in only 112 games across two seasons, and he played just over 2500 minutes in his entire NBA career. Most of his time as a basketball player was spent playing in Europe and for the Lithuanian National team, Domantas Sabonis’ current squad.
But Jasikevicius time in the NBA might not be over just yet. No, he isn’t coming back as a player. That would be crazy at age 42. Instead, Sarunas could come back as a head coach. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported today that Jasikevicius interviewed for the head coaching vacancy in Toronto:
Toronto President Masai Ujiri interviewed Zalgris (Lithuania) coach Sarunas Jasikevicius for the Raptors head coaching job, league sources tell ESPN.
