The NBA announced Monday that Paul George has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from November 23 through November 29. This is the fourth time George has been distinguished as the Eastern Conference's standout player in his career. The last time the Pacers forward earned Player of the Week honors was on January 20, 2014.
George spearheaded a 3-0 week for the Pacers, averaging 37.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while shooting 54.7 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from three. George scored a season-high 40 points on 19 shots against the Washington Wizards last Tuesday, contributing heavily to one of the best team shooting performances in NBA history.
