Paul George, Nate McMillan earn monthly honors

The NBA announced Friday that Paul George has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for April. This marks the third time George has received the East’s monthly honor. The last time the Pacers forward was selected as Player of the Month was back in November of 2015.

George was the driving force behind Indiana’s 5-1 record to close the season, averaging a league-high 31.8 points to go with 8.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting a blistering 54.8 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from three. George opened the month by scoring a season-high 43 points in Cleveland.
