After Cody Zeller knocked down a pair of free throws, there were less than 3 seconds left for the Indiana Pacers to cut into the Charlotte Hornets’ 53-47 lead.
That was just enough for Paul George to take the inbounds pass and casually hit a 3-pointer from 40 feet out, cutting Charlotte’s lead to three as the two teams headed to the locker room.
Jordan Hill’s pass found Paul George — who had just enough time to use Solomon Hill as a screener — and made the basket over Jeremy Lin and Cody Zeller. That gave him 17 points at the intermission.
