A slow start by the United States gave way to an 113-69 victory over Venezuela.
Having no flow offensively and eight turnovers plagued Team USA in the first quarter of their second Olympic contest. Venezuela got to the line 10 times, which led to an 18-18 first quarter tie.
In the second quarter, the flood gates opened and shots started to fall for Team USA. Sparked by Carmelo Anthony (playing in his All-Time record 25th Olympic game), USA Basketball won the quarter 30-8.
The second half was more of the same with Paul George continuing his quality shooting.
