Pacers waive small forward Ben Moore

Within days of Ben Moore receiving a ringing endorsement from FIBA Qualifying head coach Jeff Van Gundy during ESPN’s broadcast of the Pacers-Knicks game on Wednesday, the Indiana Pacers announced on Saturday that they waived the athletic small forward.

Moore, who averaged 6.6 points and 2.8 rebounds to go with two steals in five games with Indiana’s Summer League team in Las Vegas and was selected to represent Team USA during the second-round of qualifying in the run up to the FIBA World Cup, signed a one-year, partially guaranteed deal heading into training camp after playing last season on two-way contract.
