Though the final red tape still needs to be cut, the Indiana Pacers are on the verge of building a massive $50 million practice facility, according to Fox 59. The 130,000 square-foot venue will be five stories high and constructed nearby the Fieldhouse on Delaware Street where a parking lot currently resides.
The Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board (CIB), which owns the land where the facility would be built, agreed Monday to revise the lease to allow for construction.
“I think it certainly speaks to the ownership of the Pacers and their desire to at least continue to be part of Indianapolis for a long, long time,” Earl Goode said, president of the CIB.
