The first loss of the season for the Indiana Pacers came in disappointing fashion as they stumbled late against the Boston Celtics, getting outscored 33-17 in the fourth quarter after building a 17-point lead in the third. The turnaround came quickly, starting with a 12-6 Boston run to end the third and extending into an 11-0 Celtics run to start the fourth.
Once there, the Pacers couldn’t stop the bleeding. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics unit against Indiana’s bench, forcing the tie and then helping to push their lead to nine with four minutes left in the game.
