INDIANAPOLIS – In celebration of the NBA's year-long "Green" initiative, the Indiana Pacers have partnered with Republic Services for a "Green Week" of activities slated for March 21-25. NBA Green is a league-wide program that generates awareness and funds for protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices. Through NBA Green, the league, its teams and players are taking steps to be more environmentally friendly and encourage fans to get involved in local greening initiatives.
The Pacers will feature an in-game Parachute Drop at their game on Monday, Mar. 21 with Philadelphia. Included in the parachutes dropped from the inside roof of Bankers Life Fieldhouse will be a reusable coffee sleeve, Pacers confetti seeds, a Kroger Recycle bag and a pair of NBA Cares gardening gloves.
