INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Pacers announced Saturday they have partnered with Herff Jones to award a worthy Indiana high school student with a $5,000 college scholarship. The scholarship recognizes a student who has effectively displayed themselves as a leader and made a difference in their community.
Students from a qualifying county, maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0, with 40 hours of community service as well as extracurricular involvement will be eligible for the scholarship. Additionally, students must submit a 250-word essay; and members of JV or varsity basketball teams will not be eligible. The 10 finalists will be recognized on court at Bankers Life Fieldhouse when the Pacers play the Portland Trailblazers on Sunday, Feb.
