After Paul George was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month for November, an award he earned with a string of otherworldly performances that continued through the first game in December against the Clippers on Wednesday, the Pacers' star reminded us he remains a mere mortal after a rough performance in Portland on Thursday.
Try as he might, and he kept trying throughout the game, PG couldn't get anything going offensively, missing all nine of his three-point attempts. This was the type of game where PG needs to cut his losses from downtown and try to make something happen from the inside, get to the free throw line and find some production if not his rhythm in a different way.
