The Pacers continue grinding through preseason play, trying to find their stride while adjusting to a new coach, injured starters and new young faces who a ready and willing to make an impact.
The Pacers rallied late for a win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, which required getting the better of a smokin’ hot Sam Merrill and rookie Ziaire Williams instead of Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks.
The Pacers also survived a rough shooting night (5 of 25 from 3-land) and several defensive lapses which allowed backdoor layups. But the effort down the stretch to win via Jeremy Lamb’s midrange game winner was certainly a positive.
