The new-look Indiana Pacers made a positive impact in their season debut, closing out the Brooklyn Nets in an ABA throwback. The Pacers got off on the right foot by taking care of business at home, shooting 52% in the win, scoring their most points in nearly seven years.
The Pacers had eight double figure scorers, led by Victor Oladipo, who scored 22 points in his Pacers debut. Darren Collison also impressed in his return to the Pacers, scoring 21 points on 9-12 shooting with 11 assists. Myles Turner had a 21 point, 14 rebound double double, joining Thaddeus Young with a 17/11 double double of his own.
