Pacers final score: Celtics hold off Pacers 116-111

There were no late-game heroics from the Indiana Pacers tonight, failing to complete a fourth quarter comeback with numerous miscues in the final minutes, suffering their first loss of the season at the hands of the Boston Celtics.

The Pacers dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Celtics 37-25 and taking a 17-point lead, but terrible play from the second unit to start the fourth allowed Boston to erase the lead rather quickly, eventually putting Indiana down by nine late. The Pacers chipped away, cutting the lead to two with 30 seconds left, but back-to-back turnovers gave Boston the advantage in the end.
