INDIANAPOLIS – As part of the Indiana Pacers "Read Like a Pro" Program, presented by The RoomPlace, the team will help celebrate Read Across America Day (and Dr. Seuss' birthday) on Wednesday, March 2 with a special school visit. An all-star crew of readers, including some Pacers celebrities, Pacemates and mascot Boomer, will visit Fall Creek Elementary School in Fishers from 1:00-2:30 p.m., to promote reading among youth.
The event will feature a special "Read Like a Pro" Reading Timeout, designed for students in kindergarten. In addition, each participating student will receive a special edition "Read Across America" t-shirt, a "Cat in the Hat" hat, a Pacers VIP goodie bag and pizza courtesy of Papa John's.
