Pacers bring back iconic voice of Jerry Baker to Fieldhouse

The Pacers will have no problem breaking in their new public address announcer because he has a relationship with the organization dating back 50 years.

Jerry Baker, the legendary and iconic voice of so many sporting events in Indiana, including the original voice of the Pacers starting in 1967, will now greet fans at Bankers LIfe Fieldhouse for home games. The Pacers announced the hire on Thursday.

"For long-time Pacers fans, Jerry Baker's voice is synonymous with the history of the blue and gold," said Dean Heaviland, Pacers Sports & Entertainment Vice President of Game Operations.
