The Pacers officially announced that they assigned Rakeem Christmas to their D-League affiliate in Fort Wayne, where the reserve big will get some run starting Sunday when the Mad Ants play their first home game of the season.
Following the Pacers win over Cleveland on Wednesday, Christmas made his rounds in the locker room saying good bye to his teammates. He received plenty of support including C.J. Miles and Monta Ellis hyping him up to make the situation work for him.
Christmas played 48 games with the Mad Ants during his rookie season last year, averaging 14 points and seven rebounds.
