Saying you'll play faster and pulling it off are two drastically different things, but the Pacers are dedicated to the concept heading into next season. The trick will be doing it without sacrificing too much on defense, their foundation of the past few seasons.
The players should enjoy it, but here's the bad news for them: they're going to have to put up with a lot of running in practice to do it.
"We don't anticipate being a Paul Westhead-type of offense," Pacers coach Frank Vogel said Friday, referring to the former college and NBA coach whose teams played at a frantic pace.
