The NBA All-Star voting process, which weighted results based on 50 percent of the fan vote and 25 percent and player and media votes, fared pretty well as far as naming the starters for the 2017 All-Star Game.
Worries of Zaza Pachulia starting were nullified by the players and media wiping out the outliers in fan voting. Russell Westbrook certainly has a beef, losing out on a three-way tie for a starting spot in the West, but he will no doubt be involved in the league’s showcase event in February.
Considering PG finished fourth in the East in player voting, he should be in pretty good shape for a reserve spot in the East since I’d expect the coaches’ vote for the reserves to most closely resemble that of the players.
