It was Myles Turner’s first NBA start and he looked up to the task as he scored 20 points and had 6 rebounds, but Monta Ellis led the way for Indiana with 25 points as well as getting 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, and 1 block on the night.
The Atlanta Hawks didn’t play defense very well against the Indiana Pacers last night, to say the least. Indiana shot 48.7% overall, 60.0% from beyond the arc, and 86.7% from the free throw line in an 111-92 victory.
Frank Vogel is giving Turner time to succeed or fail in this role and he has described it as a rollercoaster, but so far it looks like everything is on track.
