Last year at this time, the NBA was grinding to a halt thanks to the pandemic which would also end up canceling the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. A year later, USA Basketball is prepping for the now 2021 Summer Olympics which will begin in late July.
On Thursday, 57 players were announced as finalists for the U.S. Olympic Men’s Team, including Pacers starters, Myles Turner and Malcolm Brogdon. Both players were among the 42 players previously tabbed to be a part of the USA Basketball national team process.
Brogdon’s prior experience with Team USA was as part the Pan American Games team in 2015 and part of the 2016 select team that trained with the 2016 Olympic team.
