Luis Montero, a 6-7 guard from the Dominican Republic, helped guide Westchester CC to an NJCAA D1 National Tournament appearance in 2013-14 as a freshman. He returned to Westchester this year, but their season was canceled due to transcript issues for several of last season’s sophomores who transferred to D1 schools. Montero didn’t play in any games this season, which is why he would have been able to play as a sophomore during the 2015-16 season.
