The Indiana Pacers should have taken care of business against the lowly Brooklyn Nets, but an uninspired second half gave the Nets the chance to get back in the game with a 31-11 run in the final 9:26 to beat the Pacers 120-110.
The loss dropped Indiana into a tie with the Detroit Pistons for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers face the Houston Rockets at 6 p.m. today to try to pull ahead while the Pistons are idle until their game against Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.
Paul George led the Pacers with 27 points in a 8 of 21 shooting performance that included making 3 of 10 from beyond the arc and 8 of 10 from the free throw line.
