In what was likely a formality, the Indiana pacers have gotten approval to go ahead with their $50 million practice facility near Bankers Life Fieldhouse according to Mark Alesia of the Indy Star.
The team hopes that facility will help retain players and attract free agents.
The Capital Improvement Board unanimously approved a contract Monday allowing the Indiana Pacers to build a $50 million practice facility on land owned by the CIB.
The CIB had already authorized parameters of the deal for St. Vincent Center, a five-story, 130,000-square-foot facility across from Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
