Things started off poorly in the 111-102 loss for the Pacers as Lillard had 20 points in the first quarter and ended up with 33 on the night.
At first, Indiana was able to keep pace but as the game wore on and the result seemed set, Frank Vogel started to rest most of his players for tonight’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Portland led by 21 at one point, but the Pacers bench fought back and came close to getting the lead back under double-digits before the Trail Blazers closed them out.
Portland also was killing Indiana from beyond the arc as they made 14 of their 24 attempts while the Pacers were 3 of 14 from that distance.
