The Indiana Pacers honored Hoosier legend Lauren Hill last year after her death, and the Indiana Fever will do so again during a game at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse on June 14against the Chicago Sky and star Elena Delle Donne.
The 19-year-old Hill died on April 10 after, as the Fever put it, she “touched millions of lives worldwide within the past two years during her fight with brain cancer” and became “a symbol for courage, strength, determination and perseverance.”
As part of the pregame celebration, Hill’s family from Greendale, Indiana, will be honored as captains for the day by future Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings and head coach Stephanie White.
