The Pacers rained threes in the first half on Sunday evening at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, making 12 triples while jumping out to a 66-55 halftime lead over the Boston Celtics.
The Pacers got off to a fast start thanks to some sharp shooting by their starting backcourt. Malcolm Brogdon and Tyrese Haliburton each hit their first two 3-point attempts to help Indiana jump out to an 18-13 lead less than five minutes into the contest.
Indiana remained in front for most of the frame, but Celtics second-year guard Payton Pritchard tied the game at 27 with a 3-pointer with 2:06 left in the quarter, then drilled another trey the next drip down the floor to put Boston in front.
