The Indiana Pacers tipped off the 2019-20 NBA season on Wednesday night. Indiana trailed virtually the entire first half, but still somehow took a 55-54 lead into halftime at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Pacers might have had a little too much adrenaline at the start of Wednesday's contest based on their sluggish start. The Blue & Gold went scoreless on their first eight possessions with five missed shots and three turnovers before Nate McMillan took an early timeout trailing 6-0 with 8:04 left in the first quarter.
That seemed to right the ship, as Domantas Sabonis used his spin move to score the first Pacers points of the season with 7:56 left in the opening frame.
