After one half of their first preseason game of the 2020-21 season, the Indiana Pacers trailed the Cavaliers in Cleveland, 49-45.
The Pacers' defense set the tone early on Saturday, as Indiana forced four turnovers in the first four minutes. On the other end, Malcolm Brogdon hit two 3-pointers as Indiana used an early 10-2 run to open up a 12-6 lead.
Justin Holiday came off the bench and knocked down two treys of his own as Indiana remained in front for the remainder of the opening frame, taking a 22-20 lead into the second quarter.
Cleveland briefly moved in front in the second quarter, taking a 33-31 lead following a 10-2 run, but Indiana quickly answered.
