The Indiana Pacers’ early foul trouble caused the Blue & Gold to carry a 65-48 deficit going into the locker room at halftime.
The Blue & Gold appeared to solve the chemistry issues quickly, and sprinted out to a 5-0 lead after Myles Turner found Malcolm Brogdon for a wide open 3-point shot on the left wing. On the next Cavaliers possession, Domantas Sabonis poked the ball free to Edmond Sumner, who got the start over Jeremy Lamb. Sumner dribble the length of the floor and passed the ball behind him to Sabonis for the easy dunk. It was a much more pleasant start to the game after quickly falling into a 6-0 hole against the Pistons three days ago.
