Despite a positive preseason showing from the bench, it was still an incomplete unit without having Glenn Robinson III, who was injured in practice on September 28, suffering a severe ankle sprain. The sprain was scheduled to sideline Robinson for two months, leaving the Indiana Pacers second unit shorthanded for at least the first month of the season, but with an expected return around the turn of December.
Today, however, Adrian Wojnarowksi of ESPN reported that Robinson’s return will be delayed an additional two to four weeks as he will require surgery on his ankle, more or less resetting Robinson’s two month timetable into a mid-December return.
