It's not a role he wants beyond Rio, but Paul George is turning out to be quite the sixth man.
George came off the bench to scored 20 points – 19 in the second half – to lead the U.S. Olympic basketball team to a 113-69 victory over Venezuela at the Barra Carloca Arena in Rio de Janeiro on Monday.
The Pacers forward hit 6-of-7 field goals while unleashing his complete offensive arsenal in the final quarter-and-a-half. He hit all three 3-point attempts, all four foul shots, a driving layup, a pull-up jumper in the lane and, most memorably, dribbled the length of the court for a one-armed, cocked dunk that qualified as the highlight of the game.
