The Pacers dropped their opening game in the Orlando Summer League, but first round pick Myles Turner had an excellent professional debut. Turner, drafted by Indiana with the 11th overall pick, scored 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting in a 92-76 loss to the Miami Heat.
The 6-11 Turner showed off his smooth shooting stroke, knocking down a bevy of jumpers early and often on Saturday. He swished several turnaround shots from the baseline, knocked down all three of his free throw attempts, and buried his only shot from beyond the 3-point line.
Turner, just 19 years old, also collected eight rebounds and blocked three shots in 28:25.
