Free Agency: Pacers agree to one-year deal with Shayne Whittington

The Pacers have reached agreement with Shayne Whittington on a contract that will keep the big man in Indiana for another season, reports RealGM's Shams Charania:

The undrafted rookie out of Western Michigan University appeared in only 20 games last season for the Pacers, averaging 2.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in a little over five minutes per game.

With playing time hard to come by in Indiana's congested frontcourt, the Pacers briefly assigned Whittington to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA's Developmental League in January.
