Like Doc Rivers in Los Angeles Clipper land, many presumed that Jason Kidd would take on a dual coach/general manager role with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was reportedly seeking more control over player personnel moves with the Brooklyn Nets, and that backdoor political game has been credited as a large reason he is no longer coaching in New York’s largest borough.
But that is not to be — at least not yet — because the Bucks just extended the contract of incumbent GM John Hammond, according to Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.
