Chase Budinger Buyout Will Be Finalized On Friday

The news of the Pacers interest in Ty Lawson sparked curiosity as the team would need to cut one of its 15 players to make room for the point guard.

The answer to that question appears to be Chase Budinger, as the Indy Star’s Candace Buckner is reporting that the deal has been in place for over a week, but Indiana was waiting for C.J. Miles to return before finalizing it.

The news isn’t too surprising considering Indiana was looking to move the small forward at the trade deadline.

Budinger never seemed to find his place in Indiana’s rotation as they glut of wing players left only so many minutes to be divided among him, Miles, Solomon Hill, Glenn Robinson III, and Paul George.
