Cassius Stanley falls short in Slam Dunk Contest, finishing 3rd

It was a short night for Indiana Pacers’ rookie Cassius Stanley in the Kia Slam Dunk Contest after some harsh scoring from the judges saddled his between the legs dunk with a 44 out of 50, the lowest score first round despite being arguably the best of the first round and maybe the night.

In his second dunk, Stanley attempted to go between both legs, but after a couple of failed attempts, he simplified things for a more straightforward dunk, scoring a 37.

Anfernee Simons would go on to win the contest, first pulling the ball from the top of the square, then blowing a kiss to the rim for the win.
