Mark Boyle, the Indiana Pacers radio network play-by-play announcer, has been named the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association’s Indiana Sportscaster of the Year.
This is the fourth time Boyle, the 28th-year voice of the Pacers, has taken home the NSSA honor, and the second year in a row.
The Indiana Sportswriters and Sportscasters Hall of Fame member is known not only for his exceptional talent for broadcasting, but also for having several interests outside the realm of sports, or at least outside of professional sports. He spent this past summer mentoring young broadcasters, and doing some broadcasting of his own, for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League, a collegiate summer baseball league.
