8p9s Roundtable: How good are the Pacers?

William Furr: They will. I’ve pegged them all along as a 44-win team, and I don’t think that changes. Although the loss of Myles Turner actually does really hurt the team. He was the only real stretch-y big, and no they have a ho-hum cast of guys who can rebound and defend a little but don’t offer much on offense.

Tim Donahue: Maybe. I like where this team is going, but we’ve spent the last three seasons watching early November results not being particularly indicative of how the Pacers finish. The big positives to take away from the first nine games are the record against the East and the defense.
